• How It Works

  • First we obtain a copy of your credit report from each of the three major credit reporting agencies (Experian, Equifax, & TransUnion) in order to pinpoint your credit issues. We need all three because each credit reporting agency has its own “data furnishers” (aka lenders, credit card companies, debt collectors, etc.) who report your credit information to them. You may have errors that appear on one of your credit reports, but don’t appear on the others. Since each client's case is unique, we will collect specific information regarding your particular circumstances for each item in question.

Once those errors have been identified, you can then give us any supporting documentation you might have. For example, if there’s a bill on your credit report that your ex-husband or ex-wife was actually responsible for under your divorce decree, you can use that document to prove it shouldn’t be on your report. Your credit report items are carefully scrutinized and matched with just the right credit repair strategies as applicable to your case. The Repair Specialist assigned to your case will review your credit reports and then direct appropriate correspondence and dispute to the credit bureaus and your creditors.

When the bureaus and your creditors receive the dispute and supporting information, they will then have to work with us to determine if the item should be removed from your credit report. The major law dictating your rights when it comes to credit reporting is the Fair Credit Reporting Act, but it isn’t the only law on your side when it comes to credit repair.

We will scrub questionable credit report items against other laws, such as the Fair Credit Billing Act, which regulates original creditors; the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, which oversees collection agencies; and others that address military service, medical illness, student status and other life events. Your job is to make sure you send us any responses you may receive from the credit bureaus or creditors. You can track your case and monitor your results 24/7 on your client portal.
